Sixty-three years ago, a plane hit the tallest building the United States. Here’s the NPR report: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=92987873&ft=1&f=2. You can listen to the radio report from that page, and the archived clip (~1 min.) from that day is available below the image of the Empire State Building. This photo:

The Empire State Building was enveloped in smoke after it was rammed by a U.S. Army B-25 bomber on July 28, 1945.
This is something amazing to think about. It begs a lot of questions to be asked. First off, this was an act of arrogance, especially how NPR puts it. There are a lot of web sites talking about this (http://www.goodsearch.com/Search.aspx?Keywords=bomber+hits+empire+state+building), but this is the first time I’ve seen any media relating to this.
In other news, there are Beer Drinking Tree Shrews and archaeologists with a penchant for sunk u-boats near North Carolina.
Also, there is a severe thunderstorm going on. I’m posting this and shutting down.
Peace, safety, cheers,
Red Wolf
